What to do if you're involved in an auto accident:

If there are injuries, then call 911 or have the nearest person call 911 immediately. 

If everyone is okay and uninjured, then take a photo of the other driver's:

1.  License
2.  Auto insurance ID card
3.  Photos of the damage to all cars involved.

Call your insurance company as soon as possible to report the accident.  Tell your claims adjuster that you have photos from the accident.  Send the photos to your claim's adjuster.

File and track your home / renter's claim online

Once you've created a www.Nationwide.com account,  you'll be able to file claims for homeowner and renter policies online.  Customers who file their property claim online or by phone, will be able to: 
  • Upload photos and documents 
  • See incident details 
  • View repair estimates  
  • View payment information, and more 
Customers with property claims will start receiving auto-generated emails about how to track their claim online, the On Your Side Property Repair Network® and other information such as repair estimates and payment information.

Virtual Assistant:  Chat online about your auto claim

Chat is the newest way to get auto claims information. From the www.nationwide.com homepage, select Claims Center and then Claims Virtual Assistant to launch a chat window.

With the new virtual assistant, you can:

+ Ask specific questions about your claim
+ Find out who is your adjuster
+ What is my deductible?
+ How much was the estimate for damages?
+ Has a payment been issued?
